This is all Becky's fault. COMPLETELY. Also I went to an eye doctor recently and now know far too much about the structure of the eye and what can go wrong with it.

S&S oneshot, takes place after Subaru's blinding by Fuuma in X and the destruction of Shinjuku. Can be read as a prequel to this other fic of mine hence the title.

Reading Sekaiichi Hatsukoi over again in one sitting wasn't good for my brain. Neither was watching the anime.

Summary: Yokozawa calls Takano a fool. Takano can't really dispute that title. Set during vol 1 chapter 2, or anime episodes 3-4.

Chapter Fifteen: Subaru and Hokuto go home to Kyoto for New Years. Subaru is still recovering from the near-disaster Within previously and falls sick, Hokuto seems to be having issues of her own, and of course there's Lady Sumeragi to deal with. Also there's the introduction of an original character who I spent far too much time developing in anticipation of later chapters.
Chapter Sixteen: New Year's Eve. There are apologies to make and steps to take to growing up. Also Hokuto in a furisode.

'Flu has been fought down to a persistent dry cough which is more irritating than anything else. In the meantime, here's something I wrote last year for the x2009 challenge. Locked for the readers list for now, will be opened when I upload to the website or do the community postings.

TITLE: Breathe
SERIES: post-Tokyo Babylon
CHARACTERS: Subaru, Hokuto, Seishirou, original characters
RATING: R for adult themes, sexual content
SUMMARY: Subaru wears a dress. It's not funny.
NOTES: There are three songs that appear as quoted lyrics throughout the lounge scene (part v, second LJ post). I strongly recommend putting them on in the background when reading that particular scene for atmosphere and mood, and also to vindicate the fact that I listened to them over and over and over again trying to plan the scene around them. The songs are:
(1) 'Take My Breath Away' (Berlin)
(2) 'Sleep' (Conjure One)
(3) 'I Want You' (Madonna and Massive Attack).
